Guest SpeakerChris OlsenComplete Interiors Classification Talk
Chris was born in Milwaukee and he was quickly moved to Venezuela where his dad felt called to go there and build churches. Chris spent his youth there including his high school years. His family lived in the Valencia area of Venezuela and they had an opportunity to visit many other places in Central America.
In 1988 Chris moved back to the States and he began a restaurant career in Washington DC. Due to a family tragedy he moved to Chicago to help his sister and he went to Chef school at The Cordon Bleu.
Once Chris met his wife to-be, Lisa, he realized that it was time to choose another career if they are going to start a family. Chris learned the building trades from his dad so opportunities opened up. That eventually lead to Complete Interiors as well as 3 children, Hanna, Hailey and Hayden.
Chris and his family have been a host family for World Relief and they hosted a family from Nigeria. Chris came to Rotary by way of his daughter Hanna, who saw our Youth Exchange presentation at West Aurora High School. She is hoping to go out-bound next year and in the mean time they will be a host family to Katriina.

Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
Member Thoughts & Happy Moments
Joel received a card from Prince, our 2010-2011in-bound from Italy. He says he misses us all and he is hoping to visit in the summer.
Mark told us a joke about what happends to Illinois Governors when their time is up. It involved the Devil campaigning and then giving a dose of reality.
Prayers and thoughts go out Pfc Christopher Patterson as he is escorted home to his final resting place. We thank you and your family for what you have done for our freedoms. You are our hero.
